Inception Wines of Santa Barbara County are new to the state of Florida. Already being featured at many of the most popular restaurants in Orlando, we have partnered with Inception’s owner, Jonathan Hirsh and Tim’s Wine Market, who is the exclusive retailer of Inception Wines for our first ever wine event.   Jonathan Hirsh has become very involved with Kids Beating Cancer since moving to Orlando two years ago and will be sweetening our fundraiser by ’rounding up’ $100 per case ordered on top of the revenue generated.

The fine folks at Tim’s are making these wines very affordable and allowing KBC patrons to mix and match favorite wine varietals.  Take it from Tim’s tasting notes…they are all quite Inceptional!  It’s no wonder they have rapidly caught on in popularity. We are pleased to offer this win/win/win to our wonderful donors.

2017 Inception Sauvignon Blanc

This example offers the classic California interpretation of the variety with riper notes of fresh but green figs, honeydew melon, lime parfait and touch of bees wax.  However on the palate it is surprisingly sheer and focused, starting a bit lean but builds into a surprisingly long, and mostly dry finish.

2017 Inception Chardonnay

Subtle notes of baked Gala apples, orange blossom honey, beeswax candles, coriander and dried straw.  On the palate it is fairly bright, with moderate weight, nice length and focus.

2014 Inception Pinot Noir Santa Barbara

Mature but not old aromas of dried orange peel, cooked rhubarb, dried tart cherries, porcini mushroom and old leather book covers.  On the palate it shows a lovely interplay between mature fruit and forest floor, with nice balance and length.  Don’t let the age fool you, this one has another five years to go.

2016 Inception Red Wine Blend

Boisterous nose of fresh cut cedar, dried black cherries, pipe tobacco and new ball mitt leather.  On the palate it is fairly plump and forward, with well integrated tannins and some length.  Surprising for the red blend category this wine finishes basically dry.
