Who We Are

Kids Beating Cancer – The Villages is a group of women with the desire to bring hope and make a difference in the lives of children diagnosed with cancer that have connected with the Orlando based Kids Beating Cancer charity organization to start a committee in The Villages. Each with their own personal reason for dedicating their time and talents to this organization, these women set their sights on creating fun, exciting and memorable events to raise funds for this worthy cause. Through your support of this chapter, we will not just treat but create cures for children through innovative research that will be at the forefront of treatments anywhere in the world.

United by a shared passion for making a difference, the Villages Chapter creates fun, exciting, and meaningful events that raise critical funds in support of children battling cancer. Their fourth signature event, Miracles & Mardi Gras, brings the vibrant spirit of New Orleans to life at the Brownwood Hotel & Spa with an evening filled with color, rhythm, and joy.

Guests will be swept into the magic of Mardi Gras with festive décor, shimmering masks and beads, and lively entertainment that captures the soul of the French Quarter. Indulge in a lavish three-course dinner and cocktails, bid on exciting silent and live auctions, and celebrate alongside friends and community—all while helping fund life-saving treatments and accelerate tomorrow’s cures for children bravely fighting cancer.

The first event, “Get on Board with Kids Beating Cancer” was a cruise-themed fashion show held on November 19th at the Savannah Center that raised more than $145,000 for Kids Beating Cancer! Guests experienced a luncheon while enjoying silent and live auctions, a cruise wear Fashion Show and shopping from a selection of vendors, while raising the critically needed funds to bring the discoveries for tomorrow’s cures while saving children’s lives.
