About The Hats & Heroes Ball

This is a TOP SECRET invitation to “007 Shaken not Stirred” Kids Beating Cancer’s Hats & Heroes Ball, on Saturday, October 1, 2016, at the Waldorf Astoria Orlando. We have an action packed evening filled with mystery, music, and martinis, (Shaken not Stirred of course), for all our Spies! Your mission is to attend and enjoy the mysteries as you travel through the top Bond films over the last 52 years; from Casino Royal, Goldfinger, Diamonds are Forever to Skyfall, along with your Bond Black Tie preferred, you will enjoy exquisite cuisine, premium cocktails, Bond’s favorite martinis and casino games. This Oscar-winning evening will bring cures to children through the Kids Beating Cancer Pediatric Transplant Center.

Kids Beating Cancer

The Only Nonprofit Foundation of its Kind in America, Kids Beating Cancer is advancing cures through the science of cutting-edge treatment at the Kids Beating Cancer Pediatric Transplant Center at Florida Hospital for Children, while providing resources and support for children with cancer, leukemia
and related life-threatening diseases throughout the treatment process. Kids Beating Cancer pays for the transplant testing and donor identification (costs never covered by Medicaid and only partially covered by insurance) for children at the Kids Beating Cancer Pediatric Transplant Center. By removing these financial barriers, any child can have access
to bone marrow and stem cell transplantation, the best and only hope for a cure. Led by Medical Director, Dr. David Shook, the
Kids Beating Cancer Pediatric Transplant Center is the only transplant center in Central Florida, and the second busiest center in the state, serving children from all three Central Florida hospitals: Arnold Palmer, Nemours, and Florida Hospital for Children. Year-end projections for the Kids Beating Cancer Pediatric Transplant Center is to be the busiest transplant center in the state, offering cutting-edge, new therapies only available at a handful of centers nationwide.
